It’s Cold

When the weather is cold the best way to stay warm is to follow an effective layering system. Layered clothing helps you retain body heat. At the same time effective layers will transport moisture and excess body heat away from the skin. Wearing Woolpower cold weather wool clothing when it’s cold significantly increases the body’s ability to retain heat.

Layers, Layers, Layers…

1. BASE LAYER

Fully functional layering starts directly against the skin. Begin with a heat-insulating, moisture transporting undergarment closest to your body. A 200 g/m² Woolpower base layer helps to effectively regulate body temperature and keep your skin warm and dry.

2. MID-LAYER

Add a tighter knit 400 – 600 g/m² garment to increase insulation between the base layer and the wind/water resistant outer layer. Mid-layers are often used in colder temperatures and at less strenuous activity levels.

3. OUTER LAYER

A windproof and water resistant outer layer made of a synthetic insulator is easily put on and taken off in accordance with the conditions. This layer protects against external cooling and keeps your body heat effectively trapped between the mid and the base layers.
